AFRICA'S FASHIONABLE FIRST LADIES PART 1

Name: Princess Lalla Salma
Country: Morocco
Husband: King Mohammed VI

Bio: Princess Lalla Salma was born Salma Bennani in 1978 at Fez in Morocco. Her mother died when she was 3 years old and she was brought up by her maternal grandmother.
She completed her education in Rabat and upon completion got a job as an information services engineer at the ONA Group, controlled by the Moroccan Royal family.
Princess Lalla Salma, now known as the Princess Consort married King Mohammed in March 2001 and they now have two children, Crown Prince Moulay Hassan and Princess Lalla Khadija.
Unlike her predecessors, Princess Lalla Salma has taken an active role in public life including hosting a number of foreign dignitaries and royalties as well as taking an interest in representing and supporting development work on cancer, HIV-AIDS and female empowerment.
In the last six years, Princess Lalla Salma has made her mark as a gracious and dignified member of the Royal family, showing herself as one with a world class taste in fashion and with the capability and confidence in representing her country on the world stage.

Her Style: Princess Lalla Salma’s style is a fusion of Western elegant and formal pieces from designers such as Chanel, Dior, JP Gauthier, Dolce & Gabbana, Gucci, Prada as well as traditional Moroccan Kaftans. Her choice of colours lingers on the pastel shades and the nudes with occasional over the top colourful and bold kaftans. Her jewellery made from famous labels such as Cartier, Chaumet, Piaget and Van Cleef and Arpels can be bold and elaborate and small and simple costume pieces.

Her Makeup: Princess Lalla Salma tends to steer on the nude shades again adding more colour around her eyes to create definition. Her lipstick range from nude to a darker plum shade.

Her Hair: Princess Lalla Salma keeps her naturally curly red hair to a minimal. It is either swept back or straightened and left flowing on her shoulders.

Very Diana-like here!
